Mussoorie is a charming hill station in the state of Uttarakhand, India and is often referred as the ‘queen of hills’. This beautiful hill station is located 35 kilometres from the state capital Dehradun. Mussoorie was first developed by the colonial rulers of India as a military outpost and later it became a popular summer resort for the British officers. Tibetans settled mainly in Happy Valley in Mussoorie. Today, some 5,000 Tibetans live in Mussoorie.
